Summer: facepalm
A friend of mine is looking for some pretty beaded things (necklaces, etc) and just found out about Etsy.  Wondered if folks had some favorite sellers in this field?  I only look at yarn and am of no help in this area.

Craft:

  • an art, trade, or occupation requiring special skill, esp. manual skill
  • skill; dexterity
  • to make or manufacture (an object, objects, product, etc.) with skill and careful attention to detail.
Ravelry - a place where knitters and crocheters can be found.  *snork*

I know that some of my flist is of the crafty.  Some are even on Ravelry.  Those who aren't on Ravelry are encouraged to participate.  *eyes those with beads*  Spread the word, if you like.  I'm leaving this post open.  (Will wonders never cease?)

All questions are up to you to answer.  (I am more evasive than is necessary...)  Feel free to ramble!

Crafts in which you participate:  Knitting, mostly.  I can do some crochet, if I try hard enough!
Favorite craft:  Knitting.  It keeps my hands busy.  XD
Favorite object you've madeRose's Mitts
When did you start crafting:  I started knitting around five years ago.  I needed something to do, as I'd just moved out on my own and couldn't afford cable.  XD  No one in my family knits, so I taught myself.  Didn't do much with it until I moved to Florida and found some knitters!
Websites you frequent, as relates to crafty thingsRavelryYarn HarlotThe Panopticon.  I need more knitting blogs to read...
Any tips for beginners:  Practice.  XD  Most things become easier when you do them often.
Anything else to share:  Next on my list is learning to quilt.  Do the quilters in the crowd have book recs?

Most of you probably know what this is, but for those who don't:

The point is to comment using your icon as your response.  As in no text.  Text in icons is fine, encouraged even!  Text in icons is meant to be amusing or funny...as such, those having icons with *bitch please* (as I do) or whatever are not to be taken as offensive here.  Got it?  Folks generally need to put something in the comment box, as the comment won't post without it.  Use punctuation, it's fast and easy!  :)

Feel free to pimp this.  I'll keep it unlocked (shocker!) so we all can have some fun and see what's out there.
